JBP has several sessions available (now through end of April) for newborn baby models & expectant mom models. (no modeling experience needed!) I am looking for willing participants to help me try out some newly inspired & creative photoshoot ideas! Know anyone that might be interested? (Read: know anyone that would want an amazingly cool photoshoot for ZERO cost, saving them $100-150?! Participants will also receive a complimentary 8×10 print, valued at $30!!)
I have a limited amount of sessions to fill during the course of the next few weeks, so please email me asap if interested. Here are the requirements:
Newborn model:
- Baby must be less than 10 days old
- Parents must sign a model release, prior to the session, on behalf of the baby, allowing me to use the images from our session to promote my studio
- Location preference is my studio in Brooklyn, but depending on circumstances, I may elect to travel to the new parents’ home (which is pretty common) If I come to your home, no need to worry about mess or clutter, I just need good window light. I will bring my own backdrop, or if you have a lovely nursery, we will use that as a backdrop as well. For expectant parents, call me now to get on my schedule, and we can discuss options in case you’re early/late.
- Newborn photography is worth the effort. I know how daunting it is to think about leaving the house (or having me over) so soon after delivering, but I can’t tell you how much you will cherish the images from our session – completely priceless. I have just a few crummy snapshots from my own girls’ newborn days, and oh how I wish I had done this!!! The newborn moment is fleeting – don’t miss your chance, you can never go back!
Maternity model:
- Expectant mom should be between 32 – 38 weeks, as a guideline
- Model will be required to sign a model release prior to the session, allowing me to use the images from our session to promote my studio
- Will be required to email me a jpeg image of yourself prior to an appointment being scheduled
- Models need not worry about those prego pounds!
- Shoot will be held at an outdoor location within reasonable driving distance from Brooklyn.
- I have several very cool & artsy ideas for these sessions that will result in stunning heirloom-quality maternity portraiture!

Please email me at [email protected] and include which session you’re interested in along with your name & phone. Sessions are first come/first serve and are by appointment only. With the exception of the waived session fee and complimentary print, these sessions will be treated like a typical shoot, and will include an online proofing gallery within 3 weeks of the shoot date, etc.
