Sweet & Beautiful Sydney | Senior Photography

So wow, January is gone and we’re knee deep in February!   And we finally have some snow.  There’s no point in winter without snow, in my humble opinion.   To be truthful, I LOVE snow (don’t hate.)  I recently pondered to myself, “Is there snow in heaven?”  I’m still waiting on an answer from the Big Guy but  I can’t imagine heaven not having a pristine layer of snow to tear up with my heavenly pick-up truck!  Can I get an AMEN?!

I’m so happy to be blogging about this beautiful and sweet young woman.  Sydney is a 2013 senior at Columbia Central High School and I know for certain my daughter Regan will miss her terribly next year!  She is as sweet as they come and is so beautiful!

When Sydney and I met up for her consultation, she let me know she was determined to have Fall leaves as part of her backdrop.  The day of her session, however, we got some seriously crappy weather and were forced to reschedule.  And thanks to more crap weather, her next session got rescheduled too!  Over the course of the next few days, we were both desperately watching the heavy winds and rain strip out much of the color from the trees.

Finally the weather broke, we coordinated calendars and headed out to find some last bits of colorful leaves!  After some searching we found a lovely meadow to shoot in.  We finished Syd’s session at one of my favorite parks.

What I loved about Sydney so much was that she worked so hard on coordinating her carefully selected outfits & accessories.  These portraits will be hanging in her parent’s home for the next 40+ years.  (Mine are still hanging in my parents home…)  Syd’s future children will pass by them, hanging in the hallway, when visiting her grandparents and they will admire how pretty their momma was back then.  Senior portraits ARE a big deal, and I’m so tickled when my clients get that.
