Meet Regan’s best friend, Kristina.  I’m not even sure how to begin writing about this special young woman.  She is the complete package.   She works hard to earn all A’s in school, works two jobs, tutors Regan on the side, is a tough athlete on the track, always showing up ready to work, cares deeply for others, has a profound respect for her parents that is unprecedented among her peers, and is one of the most responsible teenagers I’ve met in my life.  Oh and she lives her life faith-based.

Yep, that’s a pretty over-the-top description of this beautiful girl.  But every word is true and if you’re blessed enough to know her, you’re nodding right along.

She moved back to Minnesota at the beginning of summer and we all cried.  And then cried some more.  Her moving away sucks on so many different levels but I won’t get into that.  My hope and prayer is that wherever she ends up, be it Minnesota or Michigan, she keeps that peace and love in her heart.  She knows how deeply we love her and miss her.

Kristina, I am looking forward to seeing what you do with your life – with God leading you, it’s going to be awesome to see what you accomplish!  Enjoy your images, sweet girl!

Just a reminder!  **10 comments posted to this blog post and this sweet girl gets a 5×7 on me;  20 comments and I’ll upgrade her to an 8×10!**  Comments may not post right away…but they will eventually.

The next three images (below), I’m so pleased to say, were captured by Regan.   She has excellent vision – it’s awesome seeing how natural she is behind the camera.
Best friends…
A bit of fireworks fun!  It was funny to watch Kristina’s face when the smoke bomb started billowing out smoke.  She followed my directions and didn’t take her eyes off my camera but really had no idea what was going on behind her, lol.  Reg’s and I were both, “Ohhh, WOW, cooool!”  She wanted to look so bad, and at a certain point I swear I saw fear but it’s all good.  Way to focus girl!  It was worth it – I love these next two shots so much I couldn’t decide which one I preferred!

Time has not changed a thing. She is as beautiful today as she was when a toddler. She may not remember me, her Toddler Teacher, but I remember her. Kristina & her sister, Kali, were one of my favorites!ReplyCancel
