Tween Photography

I was recently in a check-out line and struck up a conversation with the woman next to me. Turns she’s a fellow mom and has two tween daughters. (As a tween photographer, I thought, Woop! Time for a little covert research!)

We both chatted about our girls (I have two myself) and you could instantly tell she was the type of mom who put her family first.  Casually I asked her when the last time her daughters were professionally photographed. She replied that neither girl had been photographed since their first year of life, with the exception of school pictures (eeek!)   Her words, body language and expression told me she felt embarrassment about not getting updated family pictures or true professional photographs taken of each girl, so I asked, “What’s been the hold up?” With brows furrowed, she took a thoughtful breath and said, “Time. Money. I’m not sure who to go to.” She paused again, then said, “It just seems complicated, and with our crazy schedules, I’ve just never made it a priority.”

Can I get an AMEN  from all you busy momma’s who can relate to my new friend?? I don’t even have kids to cart around anymore (since they both own cars) and I still  struggle to get us all around the dinner table at the same time!

So here’s my pledge to you, busy momma. Text, call, or email me and I’ll walk you through my simple process of photographing your kids or family. Trust me, I hold your hand every step of the way.

Do you ever have one of those moments when you are beaming inside because you just hit a ‘parenting home-run’? You think to yourself, ‘Oh gosh, that was good, I’m doing something right!’ Here’s a short survey. If you answer yes to any of the questions below, then you know you’re about to do something epically awesome for your daughter!

  1. Has it been more than a year since your daughter has had a professional portrait taken of her? (that she LOVES!)
  2. Does your daughter love having pictures taken of herself? (Or does she love selfies?)
  3. Is your daughter self-conscious about her figure or looks at all? (ie pallet expander, braces, blemishes, glasses, weight)
  4. Would your daughter love a fun, energetic photoshoot where she could also have a say in the creative process?
  5. Does your daughter need a boost in self-esteem, self-image, or confidence?
  6. Does your daughter want to feel beautiful?

When I photograph your daughter, she’ll have an amazing time with me, THAT’S a promise. She’ll feel beautiful and unique. She’ll delight in the pleasure of creating something with me. She’ll laugh, and she’ll feel confident.  How do I know this?  Because this is the feedback I get from my clients.  And this is WHY I do what I do.  Text, call, or email me to see how fun and easy I make this for you.
