Have I mentioned how much I love newborns? Don’t get me wrong, they’re challenging to photograph but it’s so worthwhile. I’d like to sound all selfless here and say something like, “The gift of beautiful portraiture I provide to the parents is so worth it to me, blah blah blah” but the reality is, I love these little tiny humans so stinking much it’s not even funny. So yes, I’m selfish, because I photograph newborns just for me. Ok, maybe a little for my client, but mostly just for me.
I had this truly precious and perfect 6 day old baby girl in my studio two weeks ago along with her super sweet parents. They elected to go with my Year In The Life baby plan, so I’ll get the tremendous joy of watching this tiny bundle grow her first year. Watching these babies change SO MUCH over the course of their first year, documenting it for the parents, and watching their little personalities blossom is the best part of my job.
