Brie | 2012 Columbia Central Senior

Happy Weekend!  This morning’s glorious sunrise reminded me that all is not lost to the gray skies of winter.  It made me feel giddy about the upcoming shooting season.

Here is a look back from this past year at one of my 2012 seniors, Brie.  Brie chose the popular combo session, which is both an Urban and an Artistic session

On a beautiful Saturday morning in September, Brie’s mom, Brie and me (I’m a poet!) spent several fun hours at my favorite unique cityscape locations.  Brie is *extremely* photogenic – she made my job so, so easy.  She quickly warmed up to my camera and very naturally gave me a variety of gorgeous looks.   Not only is Brie a natural beauty, but her heart and her looks are perfectly paired.

Enjoy!  xo

Brie, you are fiercly GORGEOUS… for real.

We decided to shoot her Artistic session the following day at 2 rural locations.  First stop, Brie’s farm to capture the tender bond she has with her horses.  A special thanks to Brie’s folks, who assisted [in every which way] during this portion of the shoot!

This candid shot was taken immediately after Brie accidentally dumped off her horse – I’m happy for this shot, but I totally wish I could have been 30 seconds quicker!!  It was hilarious!

Next stop was a friend’s farm where an old historic barn made for a perfect backdrop.  I am a nostalgic fool for old barns.   I could waste hours daydreaming on a dusty floor as the sun streaks through aged timbers.  Photographically speaking, they offer so much unbelievable texture.  I was inwardly smiling like a kid in a candy store during her entire shoot.

Brie’s mom asked me to capture a shot of Brie’s little brother with Brie, so of course my first request is to ask both of them to give me ‘attitude’….

Which ALWAYS gives me this….

Which leads to this…..

And this…..
